Intercession: The definition of Intercede is_"To act as a go-between for two parties. To beg or plead on behalf of another. A mediator, or the act of mediation." To carry this further, to mediate means to: settle a dispute, or carry out a process. A lawyer is a form of mediator, and we can see the correlation of a lawyer standing on behalf of their client before a judge. This is the picture of an intercessor. One who stands as a lawyer, or mediator for someone or on behalf of something that needs to be acted on or brought into being before the Lord, and using all the skill they have to argue the case for them.
As believer's we are all called to intercede for other's, our families, our church, those who need to be saved, and come to the knowledge of the truth of the gospel. However, there are some in the body of Christ who have been called to a life of prayer and intercession, as a service to God. Those who are called as intercessors and watchmen are at different levels, and some have specific areas God has them remain in. We become more effective when we focus on the area we are meant to serve in. No one knows the day or hour of the Lord’s return, be the daily news, and world events tell us we are ever nearing the day. For those of us called to this life of prayer, we look earnestly for it. We are called to go down on our faces before God on behalf of people, cities, or nations, to repent of the sins and evil they have committed, when they won't do it themselves, to save them from the judgment they deserve. Such as Abraham when he interceded for Sodom and Gomorrah. We are also given insight to the activities of the demonic realm; to know his strategies and what is coming upon the earth as the end of the age unfolds. We are given burdens in the spirit by God for individuals, churches, cities, nations. Many times the Holy Spirit will give specific instructions on how to pray. As we grow in our walk, and each experience teaches us to get better at it, and able to hear the voice of the Lord more clearly. Becoming a mighty warrior of prayer, and an adversary of the devil to be reckoned with doesn't happen overnight. Taking the time to study scripture, and use media information to gain knowledge and discernment will equip the saint to be more effective in the calling God has given them. That is the intention of this page. May we serve the Lord Jesus Christ faithfully, with courage, and skill as the last days unfold before us. As Watchmen, let the verses below be the guiding force to our service. Isa 62:1 For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. Mat 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Lorna Couillard Comments are closed.

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me,
saith the LORD. Isa 54:17 Rev 12:11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. The Victory of Our Faith
For whatsoever
is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 1Jn 5:4-5 But they that wait
upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isa 40:31 Our Warfare
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2Cor 10:3-5 The Whole Armor
of God Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; Eph 6:10-18 The Prayer Room
