I've gotten some feedback about the prophetic message I gave in 2007 concerning Benjamin Netanyahu being chosen by God to become the Prime Minister of Israel again-which he did in 2009.
The remark was "how could God have given you a message that He was going to make him Prime Minister of Israel again, if He knew how dishonest he was, and why would he do it?" I was also asked if I had any prior knowledge or information on who Netanyahu was, that would give me the ability to speak a false prophecy-trying to promote myself as a prophet. I'll answer this here-and be as simple as possible about it. The first time I ever heard of Netanyahu was in the spring of 2001, during a time of prayer. It was then that the Holy Spirit first began speaking to me of His intentions of raising this man up in leadership in Israel, and to make him a focus of prayer-and I did so; but kept it to myself. I didn't do any further research on him, I was too busy with my own life and responsibilities. Six years later, the Lord began putting him on my heart in a greater sense again, and also that he was going to require me to speak a message concerning him in my church-I was not happy about this, and didn't say anything. I hoped I had heard wrong-and waited. However, the Holy Spirit placed Netanyahu on my heart to the degree-it was an every day heaviness in prayer for him. On January 7, 2007 I obeyed the commission given to me-and gave the message at an evening service, with the pastor's permission. I, along with him and those who heard it-waited to see what would happen. Benjamin Netanyahu was re-elected Prime Minister of Israel in February 2009; two years after the message was given. I'm not a politician-and up until a few years ago, had not studied many political figures. I didn't know anything about him really-and had no agenda in getting him put into office. My only function in giving this message, was to obey the Lord, and leave it in His hands. That is all a servant of God is supposed to do, if they are called to do it. Over the last several years, doing this phase of ministry, I've had to delve into the private lives, and the character of some world leaders, and our own political leaders-much of it sickens me. But, there's nothing new under the sun. The bible is full of kings, leaders and corrupt dealings among them-but, for God's own reasons he raises up those he chooses-and they aren't all believers in Him. In Daniel we are told of God's purposes in putting leaders in places of power, and He also takes them down: Dan 2:20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: Dan 2:21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: Dan 2:22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him. Dan 2:23 I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter. God doesn't always give his servants the whole picture, just the parts he desires us to know, and leads us to pray, seek for deeper understanding, and only speak, when He says to. A lot of trouble with some prophets today, is they don't know when to stop speaking-they ought to pray more, and talk less-prophetically speaking. If your going to say something as "Thus sayeth the Lord"-you should have prayed about it a great deal, and be willing to put your life on the line for it. A couple of examples of leaders God chose who were full of pride, arrogance, and brutality were Nebuchadnezzar and Herod the king of Israel during the time of the birth of Christ. Why did God put these evil men in power, when he knew what they were like? It's not for me, or you to know right now. There's some things that will never be known in this life, until the whole picture is unfolded to us in eternity. In regards to Netanyahu, I've gone back over his life recently, and read quite a few pieces of work on him-I believe the oppressions, abuse, and the death of his brother, along with the ongoing persecution of his country molded him and caused him to make wrong turns in life, and wrong decisions. The cruelty, and brutality of life can do this to a good person, and ruin them. When I've watched him over the last few years, my heart has been very heavy for him. I'm still praying he will turn to Christ-and receive Him as Messiah. Going back to Nebuchadnezzar; In chapter 4 the bible tells about him having a dream, and being told the interpretation by Daniel, the he would be humbled by God for seven years, and eat grass like the beasts of the field-and it happened: Dan 4:24 This is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree of the most High, which is come upon my lord the king: Dan 4:25 That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. Dan 4:26 And whereas they commanded to leave the stump of the tree roots; thy kingdom shall be sure unto thee, after that thou shalt have known that the heavens do rule. Dan 4:27 Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquility. After the seven years ended-He was restored: Dan 4:34 And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation: Dan 4:35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? I believe he is in heaven now, because he repented, and humbled himself. I'll find out when I get there. Herod didn't have the same fate-He died in his sins and was eaten by worms. The Death of Herod Act 12:20 And Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon: but they came with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus the king's chamberlain their friend, desired peace; because their country was nourished by the king's country. Act 12:21 And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. Act 12:22 And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man. Act 12:23 And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost. These are two examples of evil men who God, for His own purposes-put them in place, and gave them the free choice to do either good or evil. Their lives, and what they did, contain many lessons-if people would learn them. This is a long answer to the feedback given to me-but a needed one. I believe it answers the question adequately. Lorna Update: Before the elections took place in Israel this year, the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart that Mr. Netanyahu would again be the next Prime Minister-when the elections took place, I watched the event, and the confirmation of what I was told. I was also told to say nothing, but just watch, and pray for God's will to be done. It has been. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me,
saith the LORD. Isa 54:17 Rev 12:11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. The Victory of Our Faith
For whatsoever
is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 1Jn 5:4-5 But they that wait
upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isa 40:31 Our Warfare
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2Cor 10:3-5 The Whole Armor
of God Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; Eph 6:10-18 The Prayer Room
