Several times I've called the police, and also took photos, which I still have, of some of the damage that was done. It did no good, no one was spoken to, and the few times I've called when gunshots were taking place during their weekend parties and drink binges-even into the night on the corner from me, with no results from the police. I've come to realize-I'm on my own. If anything happens here to my property, or myself, it's up to me to do whatever may have to be done, to protect myself. As an American citizen, I will do that. This past week, I found another incident of vandalism on my property, this time to my truck. For the entire month, whenever I used it to go anywhere, I never left the vehicle, and did not go anywhere where there would be any chance of it being damaged in any way, or scratched seriously. I had traveled only on open roads, and back home. Two days ago, I went to the truck and my eye caught a glimpse of serious scratches on the front hood, deep and long, that destroyed the paint and went to the metal surface of the body. In the less than a year that I've had it, it's been vandalized with deep scratches on both sides of the length of the body along the doors and side panels-keyed by kids while it was parked in a shopping center. But these new ones on the hood, had been done right here in my own yard, and it had to have been done at night. The truck has less than 10,000 miles on it-it's not even a year old. I know where the thugs came from who did it, and how it was done, but, have no way of proving it. So, this is an open statement to anybody in my area, who may know the names of those who did it-if you'd come to me and talk to me, I'd appreciate it. But if I never get any solid evidence or a witness who will speak up, I'll have to accept it again, like the other times. But, I'll add this- from this point on, if I ever hear troublemaking, suspicious activity from punks in their racing rigs, gunning engines in the middle of the night, and I see anyone trespassing at night, and up to no good, I will use my property rights. The rise of criminal activity is going off the charts in this country, and what's the reason; irresponsible parents, and at times- they are complicit with these thugs. They've made them what they are, destructive, with no regard or respect for anyone. I have posted signs up on my property- I will advise those who would try anything again, to pay attention to them, because I intend to enforce them. As I'm posting this-I realize it may give a wrong impression-I've been a responsible person my entire life. I have personal work references, and took care of the elderly for many years. No one who comes here to deliver fuel, or packages need have any fear. My husband and I dealt with similar issues when we were living in East Corinth. Sounding a Warning to All Property Owners in Vermont 5/30/2024 There are three issues coming up here in Vermont that are going to impact every taxpayer, property owner, and everyone else, to the degree that if nothing is done, we will be seeing a rise in homelessness, and people unable to maintain their homes. The rising costs of property taxes, utility bills, and rising costs of heat for our homes, are in the works now, and if no resistance is made to stop these bills from passing-we will all see our taxes, utility bills, and the cost of heating our homes go through the roof very soon. I'm calling this what it is-an all out attack on the Vermont homeowner. Below are some facts, and links to suggested reading-for each of these issues. I am going to leave this here for some time, in hopes people in this state will come and take a look at what the politicians have up their sleeves, and how they plan to raise the price of maintaining a home-impossible. I know very little about how politics works, but I can surely see what the end results has been in the last 15-20 years. Scott Vetoes Renewable Energy Standard Bill; Dem Leadership Vows to Overturn If it passes, could create an annual, average “surcharge” on electric bills of up to $192 per household. BACKGROUND: The Renewable Energy Standard Bill (H.289) is estimated to increase the cost of electricity for Vermont customers by between $400 million and $1 billion over the next ten year. This comes on top of any existing inflationary cost increases. Governor Expects to VETO Property Tax Yield Bill VFGG urges Vermonters to contact lawmakers in support of the VETO. The Vermont legislative session ended on May 10, but Governor Scott indicated he is set to veto a number of bad bills that will raise the cost of living on already overburdened Vermonters. A veto session is scheduled for June 17-18. So, what are these bills, and what can you do to help? The first veto to consider is the Property Tax Yield Bill, H.887. If this bill becomes law, Vermont property owners will be facing an average 14% property tax increase (percentages will vary between towns) on top of what are already some of the highest property tax bills in the nation. Following original estimates of a 20% property tax increase more than 30 towns voted down the initial versions of their school budgets. Some have yet to pass after three votes. Vermonters simply cannot afford these kinds of increases year after year. The reasons for the veto are that H.887 does not do enough to lower property taxes for the current year and does nothing to reform the education funding system to control costs in future years. In addition to the 14% property tax increase, H.887 also creates a new $20 million tax on internet-based software services and a new 3.5% surcharge on short term rentals (ironically a measure many desperate Vermonters turn to to pay their property taxes!) H.887 does set up a “Commission on the Future of Public Education” made up of the usual special-interest suspects representing the public education establishment, which will not present its final recommendations for “solutions” for two years. This means this year’s 14% increases will be baked into the cake for the next three years at least. H.887 is not Good Government! H.887 passed the House on a vote of 93-44 with 12 absent; the Senate did not hold a roll call vote on passage. Unless some of those who voted YES change their position, it looks like the votes are in place to override the Governor to implement the 14% property tax increase. For the past fifteen years, Vermont’s student test scores have been trending down. For the past twenty five years, the number of Vermont students has been going down. There is no reason why Vermont property taxpayers should be expected to pay more and more money to educate far fewer kids to a lower level of proficiency in core subjects. Contending for the Faith Comment: The video below by Justin Peters is a good example of the dangerous apostasy within many churches today. In the 40+ yrs. of being in ministry I've seen a great deal of it, and had to speak up more than once, and call out the false teachings, and blasphemous behavior of some in leadership. I recounted some of them in my book "The NightWatchman". In 2006 a very good friend of mine got involved in the same kind of deception in a church fellowship she was involved in. She called me one day and relayed the story of an evening meeting she went to at a church here in Northern Vermont, and the speakers were gushing great stories of seeing angels, and gold dust appearing on their bibles, and manna from heaven dropping onto their tables, with oil on the manna. She asked me to come for a visit, she wanted to show me the "gold dust" that had fallen on her and her husband that night, that was still on their clothes, and all over their house now. When I got to her home, before I got to the door she came out to meet me in the yard, ecstatic with joy, and yes there was what looked like gold all over her face, arms, in her hair and on her clothes. She talked about what happened at the meeting and how wonderful God was to reveal Himself this way to them, and what a miracle it was. I followed her inside the house and sat down, saying nothing, but praying and asking the Holy Spirit to show me if this was really from Him, or if they were deceived. I kept listening to her, and looked around, and saw this "gold dust" on her furniture, kitchen table, and yes-I looked down at myself, and started seeing it on my arms hands, and my jeans. Then, in a still small voice I heard the Lord say "This is a deception, a very dangerous delusion, it does not come from the Lord Jesus Christ." This is what I needed to know, I looked at my friend, and remained silent and let her continue to talk about what happened at the meeting, until she asked me what I thought about it, and if I would want to go to another meeting to see these people for myself. I quietly looked at her and said "No, I won't be going to their meetings. As for this manifestation, I'll ask you-is there any evidence of anything like this happening in the bible anywhere? Why would God do something like this, what is the point? If God works this way, why isn't gold dust falling on all of us everywhere? Why only in these meetings? How does this bring glory to the Lord Jesus Christ? She looked at me for a couple of minutes, silent. I saw a glimmer of anger, and that she was tempted to rebuke me. But, something stopped her (I believe the Holy Spirit was working conviction in her heart), and then she said "That's right, your questions are right. I don't like hearing this, but, this is nowhere in scripture. I'll have to take this to the Lord, and ask for forgiveness, and not go there again." I stayed a while longer, and left, but my heart was sinking, because I didn't believe this would be the end of it, and it wasn't. This controversy went on in the area for a long time, before enough people came to their senses, and put a stop to this in the churches and other ministries, where these deceptions were taking place. To this day, these churches are still going on, and people still attending them. When these delusions get started, people become deceived, and the bible is not the final word-people are very quickly stumbled, including many pastors. This is being posted because as Mr. Peters said-this Bethel church is still going strong, and people are being led astray, it needs to be exposed. Here in my area, I know this kind of thing still goes on too- it's one of the reasons I won't be a part of it anymore. The Word of God, is the final authority in my life, I won't allow myself to get into these kinds of delusions again. If the Lord ever speaks to me through anyone else, it has been when they weren't even aware of it-yes, God does things like that. I'm an outreach minister, an intercessor, and at times God requires me to speak in the prophetic, when He has something He wants said, and He knows I'll say it, and won't care if people dislike it, or reject it. I've known much rejection, and I've been given a glimpse of the rejection the disciples dealt with. I don't care, I'll take it, I'm sold out for Jesus, I won't disobey Him. If Jesus gives me something to say-and you reject it, it will be Him you face when this life is over, not me. I've been rejected by churches and by Christians, for a these reasons. When Paul faced being beheaded, by the time he came to his last day, everyone he knew had left him, just like Jesus. Paul had no money to give to anybody-he gave his entire life. He was a tent maker by trade, and worked with his own hands to support himself. All of the disciples but John died martyr's, killed for preaching the gospel. If you walk with the Lord, and obey Him, there is NO guarantee that you will be liked, honored, or have a massive crowd to applaud you or support you. The packed mega churches of people who fill them, does not prove they are in the will of God, or preaching the truth of the gospel. Pick up your bibles and read them, all of it; not just the verses you like. Study it, and pray and ask God to reveal His truth to you-and watch what happens to you. I challenge you to shut off your TV, cell phones, and spend six months alone with God. Even typing this I already know, only one, or two may take this challenge up. But if you do, it will change you. I've come to the same place this man speaks of-if what I'm called to do, takes my life, I'm facing that, and will keep doing what God's called me to do, until I can't anymore. Governor Expects to VETO Property Tax Yield Bill VFGG urges Vermonters to contact lawmakers in support of the VETO. The Vermont legislative session ended on May 10, but Governor Scott indicated he is set to veto a number of bad bills that will raise the cost of living on already overburdened Vermonters. A veto session is scheduled for June 17-18. So, what are these bills, and what can you do to help? The first veto to consider is the Property Tax Yield Bill, H.887. If this bill becomes law, Vermont property owners will be facing an average 14% property tax increase (percentages will vary between towns) on top of what are already some of the highest property tax bills in the nation. Following original estimates of a 20% property tax increase more than 30 towns voted down the initial versions of their school budgets. Some have yet to pass after three votes. Vermonters simply cannot afford these kinds of increases year after year. The reasons for the veto are that H.887 does not do enough to lower property taxes for the current year and does nothing to reform the education funding system to control costs in future years. In addition to the 14% property tax increase, H.887 also creates a new $20 million tax on internet-based software services and a new 3.5% surcharge on short term rentals (ironically a measure many desperate Vermonters turn to to pay their property taxes!) H.887 does set up a “Commission on the Future of Public Education” made up of the usual special-interest suspects representing the public education establishment, which will not present its final recommendations for “solutions” for two years. This means this year’s 14% increases will be baked into the cake for the next three years at least. H.887 is not Good Government! H.887 passed the House on a vote of 93-44 with 12 absent; the Senate did not hold a roll call vote on passage. Unless some of those who voted YES change their position, it looks like the votes are in place to override the Governor to implement the 14% property tax increase. For the past fifteen years, Vermont’s student test scores have been trending down. For the past twenty five years, the number of Vermont students has been going down. There is no reason why Vermont property taxpayers should be expected to pay more and more money to educate far fewer kids to a lower level of proficiency in core subjects. My property taxes more than doubled in just a matter of two years, and they are intending to raise them even more. It's time to speak up against this. Crushing Property Taxes on the Way, Unless... Governor Expects to VETO Property Tax Yield Bill VFGG urges Vermonters to contact lawmakers in support of the VETO. The Vermont legislative session ended on May 10, but Governor Scott indicated he is set to veto a number of bad bills that will raise the cost of living on already overburdened Vermonters. A veto session is scheduled for June 17-18. So, what are these bills, and what can you do to help? The first veto to consider is the Property Tax Yield Bill, H.887. If this bill becomes law, Vermont property owners will be facing an average 14% property tax increase (percentages will vary between towns) on top of what are already some of the highest property tax bills in the nation. Following original estimates of a 20% property tax increase more than 30 towns voted down the initial versions of their school budgets. Some have yet to pass after three votes. Vermonters simply cannot afford these kinds of increases year after year. The reasons for the veto are that H.887 does not do enough to lower property taxes for the current year and does nothing to reform the education funding system to control costs in future years. In addition to the 14% property tax increase, H.887 also creates a new $20 million tax on internet-based software services and a new 3.5% surcharge on short term rentals (ironically a measure many desperate Vermonters turn to to pay their property taxes!) H.887 does set up a “Commission on the Future of Public Education” made up of the usual special-interest suspects representing the public education establishment, which will not present its final recommendations for “solutions” for two years. This means this year’s 14% increases will be baked into the cake for the next three years at least. H.887 is not Good Government! H.887 passed the House on a vote of 93-44 with 12 absent; the Senate did not hold a roll call vote on passage. Unless some of those who voted YES change their position, it looks like the votes are in place to override the Governor to implement the 14% property tax increase. For the past fifteen years, Vermont’s student test scores have been trending down. For the past twenty five years, the number of Vermont students has been going down. There is no reason why Vermont property taxpayers should be expected to pay more and more money to educate far fewer kids to a lower level of proficiency in core subjects. My heart grieves when I watch what's happening to the forests. The birds and small animals- keep coming for food from me, even now with spring here. Dane talks about the dying forests, and animals dying of starvation-such as the white pelicans being found with malnutrition. The hardest thing to realize is, most people are clueless that this is even going on. But, if this keeps going like this, no one will be able to ignore it any longer. I bought some vegetable seeds to plant in my garden the other day, when I opened the packages, only a scant amount was in them; another sign of just how bad the situation really is. Below are a couple of photos of the damage from the toxic poisons dropped by planes every summer over my property-and what it's doing to my trees, vegetation, the animals, and me. I'm doing this to show you, and hope you realize it's being dropped on you also, whether your aware of it or not. That's why so many have respiratory and lung problems, and only God knows what other kinds of parasites and pathogens making us sick. This is the work of demon possessed people, with no consciences. I've learned over the years, that true believer's in Christ will have differences in our convictions, and belief's-we are at different levels of understanding and faith. But, if we are true servants of God, we will strive to live in peace, as much as lies within us, and overlook our differences, if they aren't serious doctrinal errors. It takes a lot of prayer and wisdom, to not allow these differences get in the way of our work for the Lord, the devil is always putting stumbling blocks in our way, to get us tripped up, and fighting amongst ourselves. I may not totally agree with the believer's I post here, but will say so, if need be, and give scripture to explain why I do not totally agree with them. But, I won't totally throw out their work, because I discern they are true servants of God, and will give them space to speak their minds. With Stewart Best and Larry Taylor, I discern they are true men of God, and give them the ability to share their warnings. We are in the very final days, and what I do not agree with, I will say so and let the reader discern for themselves, and the freedom to listen and make up their own minds. When it comes to Mr. Best saying someone can't be saved by praying the sinners prayer- I'll answer that here, on my own turf. If anyone goes to the Lord in prayer, repents of their sins, and asks for the gift of salvation-my bible tells me, He hears and answers that prayer. It is a dialogue between you and the Lord. I said a simple prayer over 40 years ago alone in my livingroom, and I'm still saved, and still walking with the Lord- and still talking to Him on a regular basis. I said that prayer in sincerity, and faith- and Jesus heard it. There may be people who have mouthed the prayer of salvation, and not meant it, and that's why they backslid or were never really saved, that's between them and Jesus. There's a lot of people who say the prayer-but don't want to walk the walk, or pay the cost-that's when the sinners prayer is proven of no effect to them. Some say the sinners prayer, but then won't stop their sinning, or want to keep worshipping other gods along with Jesus, it doesn't work. Jesus says "I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father, but by Me." You can't worship Jesus, and Buddha, or any other false god at the same time. I said the sinners prayer, and meant it- that's the difference. When people accuse the sinners prayer of being of no effect-they are killing faith. My God answers prayer, He's proved he does, from the very first one I prayed the day I got saved. I'm living proof, that anybody who says the sinners prayer doesn't work- is lying. The evidence of salvation will come when you find the things you used to do- such as drinking, cussing, drugs, etc., you now find you don't want to do anymore, your desires are changing. This is the evidence that the Holy Spirit has "come in", and now dwells within you, and now is at work "renewing" your mind, and your spirit. As you pick up your bible, start reading it, and doing what it tells you, the guidance of the Holy Spirit will become stronger. It's the word of God that gives us light and direction to our life. The scriptures below shows the path of salvation in Christ. New Testament references admonishing people to repent: Luke 24:44 "These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fullfiled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Then he opened their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said to them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Act 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. Act 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; Act 11:18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life. Lastly, when Paul was standing before Agrippa giving his testimony, he spoke of his mission to preach to both Jew and Gentile, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance. I'll remind the reader of the scriptures that tell us of the thief on the cross who looked over at Jesus and said "Lord remember me when you come into your kingdom", he had no time to come down off his cross, do any good deeds, get baptized, or do any acts of repentance, but Jesus looked back at him and said "Today, you will be with me in paradise." And when Paul was released by the jailor in prison, he was asked of him "What must I do to be saved?" Paul's answer to him was "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you and your house will be saved." These are examples of those who seek in faith, for the salvation Christ is able to give, and they give us the clear answer that "All who call upon the Name of the Lord-shall be saved." Commentary Pick Your Poison Since the legalization of marijuana in Vermont, it hasn't taken long for shops to start being seen around my area. They are now in St. Johnsbury, Barton, and I'm sure other towns across the state. Now people can find it easier to stay at various levels of being zoned out, stoned, drunk or combination of both and won't have any problems getting what their hooked on. I don't believe these shops will just sell marijuana, there will be back door deals with other drugs added to these shops, and the trade will just get worse. I've heard the arguments on the supposed health benefits of marijuana, I'm not convinced. I don't believe they outweigh the hazardous effects it has on the brain, lungs and nervous system. This government has done society no favors. Along with this, there's the local do-it-yourself breweries, and of course there's plenty of beer, and alcohol sold in every store, and markets; you don't have to go to a liquor store to get all the booze you could want. Whatever people are hooked on, there's no shortage, you'll find an ample supply. As access increases, the already serious problem of addictions from drugs, alcohol, and getting too stoned to be able to function with your senses intact, will increase also. Driving on the roads especially on the weekends, will be another problem to deal with. The results of several generations of the ever worsening drug and drinking problems will just continue to increase, and those who desire to live a life of peace and stability, will have to deal with what comes with these addictions, whether we like it or not. Giving warnings, and trying to reason with people messed up in these addictions comes with the expected range of reactions; most of the time people refuse to listen, they enjoy their sin-yes, there's pleasure in sin, for a season. When people are involved in these drugs and drink, it gives them a sense of greater self assurance, boldness, it numbs them so they can deal with stress and people. But, it also loosens their tongues, and their actions. The escalation of brutality, cruelty, verbal and physical abuse is getting worse by the day, walking on the streets in cities and public places is dangerous, but it's just as bad now in stores and shops. People are losing any sense of decency, manners, or civility. Being rude, sarcastic, foul mouthed, bullying and manipulating is so bad now, I plan what I have to do when I go to town, and get everything done in one trip-so I don't have to go again for as long as possible. I'm not the only one who feels this way, there's a lot of people who feel the same way. The kids who grow up in this environment many times become the product of what they are growing up in, like I did. The influence of the parents, or grown ups in their lives produces a cycle of addictions, lawlessness, and rebellion. Many times people in this cycle of sin will not listen, until they either find themselves flat on their backs in the hospital, or have caused great harm to someone else. Some never do wake up, never do listen to any warnings, and end up dead in a ditch. When I see the escalation of drink, drugs, and booze-it's a symptom of people's lusts and cravings in their souls. It's a temporary fix-that backfires, doesn't last, and ultimately destroys you. It feeds the cravings of your heart, for a short time, but the effects on your mind, soul and body are eating your life away. You're self-destructing. Of course, what goes hand in hand with these addictions, is the rise of sexual deviousness, and prostitution-that ends in a vicious cycle of sexually transmitted diseases, to go along with the diseases brought on by the addictions-it's a hellish mix and cycle of pain, destruction of the mind and body, and death. Common sense would tell you that legalizing marijuana opens the door for the rise in the more dangerous drug uses, wouldn't it. So why does the government keep putting this out in the mainstream news, and keep playing with the system, to get it legalized nationwide? It makes as much sense as Joe Biden does, whenever he attempts to make a public speech, and the results are the same- an exhibition of disorientated, confused, unintelligible nonsense. This is just one example, of why this country is under judgment, and it's going to get much worse. This country deserves whatever it gets. But, it does make sense, when you figure out that the corrupt politicians in government are the biggest ones pushing the drugs in the first place.
