Internet Prophets I've been seeing and hearing this term "internet prophets" for some time now, and there's good reason to label some with this, and there's a lot of them, who are just people who want some recognition and have given themselves the title "prophet". If you want to know what a true prophet is, according the God, and the Bible, you'll need to do some studying of scripture and talk to the Lord-he will teach you what a true prophet is, and you'll be able to discern the true, from the false; it's a good idea to educate yourself on this today. Jesus said there would be many false prophets in the the last days, and we are in them now. Jesus also said that in the last days, the deception would be so bad, that even the elect would be deceived, we are seeing that today, aren't we. I was saved in 1978, 45 yrs. ago, and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit a few months later. Within a few weeks of this, the Holy Spirit began moving in me to speak a prophetic message at a small praise and prayer meeting on a Friday night, among those I fellowshipped with in my area. My heart was racing, my mind was questioning God and I asked the leaders if they wanted me to speak it, and if they said no-I didn't want to do it. But, with smiles on their faces they said "yes, we want to hear what the Holy Spirit has for us"- so, I opened my mouth and spoke the first prophetic message God was requiring me to speak-it was short and to the point. He said to us "Behold, I come quickly, are you ready?" The power of the Holy Spirit was there so strong we all went to the floor and prayed for a long time, before the leaders raised up, and spoke to us of their hearts being confirmed, and strengthened from this message, and that we were to take it as a commission from Jesus-to go out in our communities, and preach the gospel to everyone we could, before His coming. Over the years, we did that. Today, some of them have gone on to be with the Lord, some of us are still carrying on. God gave me numerous prophetic messages to speak in gatherings, and churches, and by prayer and study came to know the leading, and the voice of the Lord. There was no internet then, no home computers, and no desire to make a name for myself, my desire then, and now, was to know the Lord Jesus Christ, and follow Him. That's never changed. The only reason I'm doing this now, is because Jesus has made it clear it's His will for me to do it-I have no desire to do this on my own. Without Him, I could not do this. From this beginning, the Holy Spirit has given many dreams, visions, and prophetic messages-some to speak in public, but many I was told to write down and pray over-and have watched as many of them came to pass, and watched some of them relayed on the news on TV. Those who God calls to a prophetic ministry will have one goal, to obey the Lord, and only speak what He gives, and nothing else. There's also many people who are truly called to be watchmen, who study the scriptures and see the signs of the end days described in the Bible; and give warnings. I'm one of them. Over a lifetime, a prophet truly called by God will not desire to be seen or heard for his/her own benefit-he/she will shun it. I know very well, the cost of obeying the Lord and speaking any prophecy in public, most will reject it, and mock. We are required to speak what's given to us, and leave the results to God. The difference between a true prophet of God, and the pillow and "internet" prophets is-they will put on a good show, and sugar coated messages will come out of their mouths, there will be no call to repentance, and it will be scripted. They won't be willing to take the rejection that comes. A true prophet usually speaks less than 10% of what God speaks to them in a lifetime-most of the time we pray over what God tells us, and keep our mouths shut, unless He makes it clear we must speak it. Today, the internet prophets talk too much, claiming it's coming from God, when it's really coming from themselves. If God gives me something to speak-I clearly say it's from Him, and only speak exactly what the Holy Spirit gives, and no more. Then, I leave it to God, and those who hear it. A true prophet sometimes will speak things that may take many years to come to pass - such as Isaiah; he prophesied the virgin birth of Jesus, seven hundred years before it happened. He never saw it come to pass-he spoke it by faith. These are the prices that a prophet pays, that most of the fake ones, are not willing to pay. I know something of this level of testing. One example being-in 2007, God required me to speak a prophetic message in my church, that Netanyahu would become Prime Minister of Israel again. I spoke it with the pastors permission-and then we waited two years, before it came to pass. He was re-instated in 2009. Lastly-a true prophet will elevate the Lord Jesus Christ, and proclaim Him for who He says He is-the Way, The Truth, and the Life. He is the risen Christ, the Lord of Lord's, and the King of Kings-and coming again. They will do this, without a price tag with it. George Washington Brought to Life: Facial Reconstructions & History Documentary- https://youtu.be/UZ22sfmV1LM Comment: As I watched this well done documentary, and then sat watching the transformation of the re-creation of what he looked like-my heart was crushed, and broken. What an incredible, strong, intelligent, and handsome man Washington was. His stature, strength of character, sound mindedness, and virtuous spirit was brought to life-and he was alive before me. There's no words to describe what this has done to me. God could not have chosen a more perfect man-to lead, and birth this country. He truly represented all I believe God wanted this country to be, and how he wanted it to become, as years and history went on. My heart is totally broken-as I've watched what this nation has become in my lifetime-My God, why did we allow this to happen. Note: Yes, he was a mason, a sad mistake-if he was able to, he would admit this was blindness on his part, and ignorance. He would be the first to admit this, I have no doubt. We are flawed humans, and his time period also played a factor in these errors in judgment. It was something he faced, when he stood before the Lord. But, I still believe he was God's choice to bring this nation to birth-and the video above confirms it, to me. When I read, and research people's lives, I take these things into consideration, because every one of us will give an account of our own decisions, and behavior on Judgment Day. Washington on Slavery- In 1995 my husband and I visited Mount Vernon, and while there we viewed the living quarters, working areas, and read many of the plaques that were in each area, that described their daily life-and their relationship with Washington in their private home. The video below shows some aspects of this, but not all. Washington and Martha had fond relations with many of them, and allowed their children to be a part of their life in the main house. We also read several hand written letters by Washington on his ongoing work to bring about the abolishment of slavery, and giving his slaves freedom before his death. Several voiced the desire to stay, even after they were freed, they loved Washington, and did not just view him as their owner. They were treated with love and respect, in their various places of trade and work on the plantation. My husband and I both understood that Washington's owning slaves had to be viewed from their time period. He was born into this system, and had no choice in what the world at that time considered normal, and right. But, he came to realize the wrong of it, and worked for a number of years, to change the situation, with his influence, and through the legal process, which many times takes a long time-in this case it eventually brought on the Civil War. As a Christian it causes me to think of many who lived as slaves in the Bible, Joseph in Egypt, and Daniel in Babylon-who lived out his entire life as a slave to the King, but an angel who appeared to him, said of him, that he was greatly beloved by God. If you study scripture, and learn the cultures in these time periods of history, and how slavery is woven throughout it- you come to understand that mans view of a persons life, and God's, are completely different. Some of God's most loved, and precious people-are the unknowns of society. I have many memories of taking my daughter to the malls on all day long shopping trips, going with my husband, my mother and family-but, over the years, also watching them go downhill, and get boarded up, closed, and some bulldozed down and destroyed. The reasons for this is multiple, but some aspects of it are clear-greed, mismanagement, corruption, and a growing problem of gangs that began to use malls as places of mischief and trouble, with violence; which caused many of them to lose customer's and brought them to ruin. It's a sad commentary and another view of the reality of the moral decay, that pervades the nation as a whole. Imagine the untold billions of dollars invested in the building of them, and the losses each one would add up to. It is one more example of a nation, that's lost it's way, and the sense of worth, and value. Depraved Human Nature Mat 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. The dog was regarded an unclean animal by the Jewish law. They represent snarling, scoffing opposers. The characteristic of dogs is brutality. To try to instill holy things into such low, unclean, and sordid brutal minds is useless. Neither cast pearls before swine. The swine were also unclean. They would have no use for pearls. So, too, there are people so dull, imbruted and senseless, as to reject the pearls of truth. As ministers we are to give the gospel, and speak the Word of God, it is our duty to help and to try to save others, but we must use common sense. Discernment is the key to this passage- Jesus didn't discourage sharing the precious truths of the gospel, or the Kingdom of God, he was warning where to make a distinction between those who are dull, blind, and openly hostile, and, like dogs, turn on those who preach and teach the Word of God; these do not value it's worth, and insult those who do. In the case of the swine-they may be cleaned up, put lipstick on her and a string of pearls, if a male, dress him in the finest of apparel, put the best perfume on them money can buy; but then open the door and let them loose, out in the farmyard. You will find they will run headlong-back where they came from, wallowing in the mire and filth they were in before. These are those who may nod their heads in agreement with you as you speak of the things of God, and smile and speak words of having a desire to try out this walk with Jesus while in your hearing. But, as soon as they are back in the midst of familiar surroundings, of old friends and family- will go back to the party life, and the same sins they came from. The desire for acceptance, applause, and recognition is too much for them-the world still owns them.
