 Last night I posted material here that added to the darkness and hopelessness of this worlds condition-without Jesus. The Lord prompted me to do it, and leave it for the night, to make a point. To bring to your mind and heart what it would mean, if Jesus had not come, and had not been willing to extend the love, mercy, forgiveness, and hope that only He can give. He came for one purpose-He loves us. I've often wondered why-there's no reason why He should have. This world, and every one of us, have rejected Him, and the Father, with our rebellion. If Jesus had not come into this world-there would be no hope for any of us. I can assure you, when you die-you will not be standing before Santa. But, Jesus did come, and showed us by His life, that there is no one who has sinned so much, that He cannot save them-He can save to the uttermost in the gutter-from the leper, to the harlot, to the wild man demon possessed in the wilderness. He taught us we can just come to Him, and open our hearts and let Him in, and we will receive his gift of eternal life. Those who read what's been put here for a long time-can see what the devils agenda is-to kill, steal, and destroy. Nothing has changed from the day Eve ate the forbidden fruit in the garden-that started this war between God and Satan, and it won't end, until Jesus returns to this world and takes up His Throne in Jerusalem. For those who claim the devil doesn't exist, it's easy to prove he does-every time there are actions of cruelty, lying, deceit, brutality, depravity-this is the evidence of his reality. Jesus calls him the father of lies, for good reason. In contending with the Pharisee's he said to them: Joh 8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. Joh 8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Joh 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. Joh 8:45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. And again Jesus speaks of the devil, and his works: Joh 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. Joh 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. That is why the evil is escalating to a fever pitch-the devil doesn't have much time left. But, he couldn't stop Jesus from coming the first time, and he won't stop Him from coming again. That is why Christmas-no matter when Jesus was really born-is what brings all the light, and hope for our lives into this world, and into our future in eternity. Jesus is the light of the world-and in Him, there is no darkness at all. So, this Christmas, it's my hope, and prayer-if your reading this, and haven't opened your heart yet and let Jesus in-don't wait any longer. He stands at the door of your heart, and will come in, if you just say, yes Lord, please come in to my heart-forgive my sins, and be my Savior. This can be the best Christmas of your life. The card represented a clergyman falling into a short sleep in his study on Christmas morning and dreaming of a world into which Jesus had never come. In his dream he found himself looking through his home, but there were no little stockings in the chimney corner, no Christmas bells or wreaths of holly, and no Christ to comfort, gladden and save. He walked out on the public street, but there was no church with its spire pointing to Heaven. He came back and sat down in his library, but every book about the Saviour had disappeared. A ring at the door-bell, and a messenger asked him to visit a poor dying mother. He hastened with, the weeping child and as he reached the home he sat down and said, "I have something here that will comfort you." He opened his Bible to look for a familiar promise, but it ended at Malachi, and there was no gospel and no promise of hope and salvation, and he could only bow his head and weep with her in bitter despair. Two days afterward he stood beside her coffin and conducted the funeral service, but there was no message of consolation, no word of a glorious resurrection, no open Heaven, but only "dust to dust, ashes to ashes," and one long eternal farewell. He realized at length that "He had not come," and burst into tears and bitter weeping in his sorrowful dream. Suddenly he woke with a start, and a great shout of joy and praise burst from his lips as he heard his choir singing in his church close by: "O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant, O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem; Come and behold Him, born the King of Angels, O come let us adore Him, Christ, the Lord." Let us be glad and rejoice today, because "He has come." And let us remember the annunciation of the angel, "Behold I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people, for unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord." I'm hearing on just about all the platforms and channels the emphasis on loving the kids, and doing whatever needs to be done to protect them from the evil escalating now, and I agree. I had many a battle with schools and events in my daughter's childhood that I and my husband had to deal with to protect her from dangerous situations, and wrongdoing- for her well-being. But, something I don't see brought up much is the other side of the coin when it comes to kids, and bringing them up-what are they being brought up to be. I'd like to see some footage posted on the problem of kids turning into hoodlums, troublemakers who gang up on the elderly, and other's, abusing them on the streets, targeting them and robbing them and beating them unmercifully-robbing them in their homes, and disrespecting them in public places. I'd like to see the problem of the lawlessness in the cities and towns with these gangs of young punks who run the streets and roads with their barbaric behavior and filthy mouths, and take over every weekend-when the drugs/booze is flowing from Friday night to Monday. I don't see much about this issue, but it certainly is evident in places like Portland, Chicago, Pittsburg, and other areas of the country. It's right here in my area. These kids I watch around me-don't care one bit about how they treat other's. They have no conscience, it doesn't bother them in the least to lie, give you the finger, swear at you, and act with complete insolence. They are a product of how they were raised, and the influences of the adults and other kids around them-and what it produces is barbarism. Yes, love the kids, and fight for their welfare-but they are not the only ones on the planet. Bring them up with morals, manners, and discipline-and teach them to do unto their neighbor-what they would want done to themselves. Teach them to not lie, to tell the truth, and admit when they are wrong; but, you can't teach somebody something-your not doing yourself. If you are a liar, you can't teach your kids not to lie. If you steal, you can't teach your kids not to be a thief. But, if these issues were made the forefront of bringing up kids today-this would take care of a lot of the trouble we're dealing with now. But, then there's the problem of no fathers in the home; yes, I could go on for hours on this topic- but not now. The Lord's prompted me to add this: Scripture teaches that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Everyone has gone our own way. Before salvation when I lied, I'd push it out of my mind, or excuse myself (or try to). After I got saved when I lied, the Holy Spirit within would not let me get away with it-His conviction would keep dealing with me, until I repented. There is no such thing as a perfect person-saved or unsaved. The difference is, the saved person knows the Savior, and knows they have an advocate with the Father-Jesus Christ, who continues to cleanse and restore us, when we come to Him in repentance. The bible teaches we are to confess our sins to God, and when we do, we will be forgiven; there's no place where it tells you to go to a confessor. 1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Once the sin is forgiven, then go on with God, and resist the temptations to sin again-asking God for the help and strength to live right for Him; He will answer that prayer. It's one we should ask consistently, all of our life. If somebody comes and confronts you of a sin you've repented of-make it known that you have confessed it to God, and repented, and don't condemn yourself, nor allow anyone else to. When kids see a pattern of an honest walk, they may not say so, but they will have to acknowledge inside themselves, the righteousness they see you walking in. Righteousness isn't being perfect, it's walking in integrity, and admitting a wrong when we've done it, and making it right, if we can. Then like David, we can put this scripture to practice: Psa 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
