When we started investigating what happened to these medics and rescue workers, little was known about how they had come to be killed. Five days after they disappeared their bodies were recovered, but the IDF's responses at that time were opaque. One was still missing. A team of reporters from Gaza, Israel, the West Bank, Cairo, London, New York, Norway and Ireland set about finding answers. Our colleague Bilal Shbair in Gaza tracked down a survivor and two witnesses to the shooting and interviewed them independently. Our colleague Farnaz Fassihi was the first to obtain the video of the shooting above, recovered from the phone of Rifaat Radwan, one of the slain medics. His video supported what the witnesses told us and proved the IDF had lied when it said the medics approached their soldiers suspiciously and without their lights and signals. The Times also obtained a recording of a phone call made by another medic, Ashraf Abu Labda during the attack. By using the sound of gunfire to synchronize his phone call with Rifaat's video, we determined that Israeli soldiers fired for over six minutes, even as the medics were unarmed, sheltering and praying. The IDF confirmed that the 15 rescue workers were unarmed, while autopsy reports confirmed that they died from gunshots - many of them were shot multiple times. We consulted audio and weapons experts who determined from the sound of the gunfire that the IDF closed in around the men and continued firing at them despite the absence of return fire and as the men were still alive. A video shown to one of our reporters in Israel also confirmed the soldiers' movements. We also interviewed an IDF official who led an internal investigation, a pathologist involved in the autopsies, experts in the laws of war and the colleagues of the workers who gave a timeline of their movements that night and details of how their bodies were recovered. We also spoke to the families left to mourn the men. The IDF said that the shooting resulted from a cascading mistakes in which their soldiers misidentified the rescue workers as Hamas militants, even though they admitted they didn't know who was inside the vehicles when they opened fire. The victims worked for the Palestine Red Crescent Society, the Civil Defense and the United Nations, who have called for an independent investigation." I hope this serves as a warning to anyone else, who's believing all their being told by their internet "friends". One of God's Misfits There's been some statements made to me recently, that I've answered before over the years, but I'm going to address them again here today, and answer them as briefly and honestly as possible. 1. "You aren't qualified to be a journalist, or a minister-you're trying to do something your not trained enough to do or have the integrity to do." Answer: As for being qualified, I agree with that completely. I never imagined I'd be doing anything like this in my life, and it took the Lord 10 yrs. to get me to obey Him, for this very reason. Many days, I've felt just this way. If I was God, I would have chosen someone else. But, from the first day He called me to this, He's never allowed me to run from this-He was persistent, and kept hedging me in like Jonah, until I obeyed and started these websites. It's been very rough going sometimes, and I take breaks when I get tired of the internet gossip/drama, and the headaches from working with this computer and all that comes with it. When it takes over, and starts doing things on it's own, without my telling it to-I get away from it, sometimes for days. With AI to deal with now, it's going to be a nightmare for us; but, I've learned enough to be able to get around the attacks and keep going, for now. Throughout the bible there's examples of people God has called to do a work for Him, who the world would say the same thing. Moses spent 40 yrs. on the back side of the desert with sheep, his wife and kids because he killed a man, and went into exile. That's when God called him from the burning bush-and the story of Exodus began. David was a warrior, and a psalmist at the same time. His first feat as a boy was killing a giant with five smooth stones, and sitting in Saul's palace singing psalms to him, until jealousy brought Saul to madness, and chased David for years, trying to kill him-and along the way, David learned to be a warrior and sought the Lord before every battle. Paul was a pharisee and chased down the early Christians and persecuted them, and had them imprisoned and killed-until God knocked him to the ground, and confronted him-and Paul rose up blinded, but saved by the Christ he had hated and persecuted. Right after his salvation, God tells Ananias to go to him, and pray over him to be healed of his blindness-because he was a chosen vessel to God. These are some examples of other's who weren't "qualified"-but, when God calls you, He equips you. 2. "You don't allow comments, and appear to be anti-social." The first several years of creating these websites, I did allow comments, but found I have no desire to deal with people's cursing, foul language, and insults. I admit I cannot tolerate it. The focus on these websites has been Christ-centered from the beginning, and they will remain that way. I'll be the first to admit, that the cursing and swearing that's out in the public today, and on social media has had an affect on me, and I also started cursing at home in the past few years-I've had a serious spiritual battle with this, and have overcome it with much prayer and setting tighter boundaries on what I watch and allow here. I understand how hard it is for serious Christians today to keep this evil out of their lives, but, we have to fight this battle with prayer, and the word of God-He will help us if we stand firm, and use the Name of Jesus against the powers of darkness we see all around us today. As for being anti-social, I've been a very quiet reserved person all my life-this will never change. I have no tolerance for gossip or slander sessions, and that shortens my social life-a lot. I've had several friends over my lifetime that I've been blessed with, and worked in ministry with-but they have all died, and are with the Lord in heaven now. I now spend most of my time studying, and researching for material for these websites; this, and intercessory prayer takes up a great deal of my time, along with maintaining my home. This keeps me busy all day, every day, I am never bored. I have many hobbies, and do a great deal of gardening out in my yards, and mow my own lawns by hand-which covers over an acre-of my 3 acre property. I do not hire people to do my repairs, I do most of them myself, unless they are too large to handle-such as two small roof's that were re-shingled two days ago. 3. "You don't go to church, and do not fellowship with other believer's-you are not obeying the bible when it says to not forsake assembling with other Christians." True- I do not attend any church regularly. I am an ordained minister myself, and these websites, and the work I do beside this (which I will not go into at length) makes up a great deal of my ministry. These websites, I view as manna-bread of the word of God-being cast out into the world for the Holy Spirit to use as much as He can, and for untold numbers of people, that I know I probably will never meet in this lifetime. But, God is not hindered by my absence, instead, He is free to use the material here-as He wishes. This is a great asset, and I know God is using these websites for His glory, without my interference. I intentionally try to be invisible-and let God be the one to use the material here, as much as possible. The gospel is preached here without measure-and I've posted a great deal of graphics which I make myself-that are pure gospel, with nothing omitted. Jesus Christ is the one lifted up, and glorified-not man. The teachings and devotions put here are always different, from many sources by reputable bible scholars, ministers and preachers spanning through many years-but, what is breathed by the Holy Spirit is timeless, and remains vital food for anyone who truly seeks to know the Lord, and His ways. God has proven to me, that we can know God as much as we will allow Him to. I will never start a church, because I'm not called to pastor a church. I'm working in the realm of an evangelist. And, along with this outreach, there are things I'm doing that only God knows of right now, and He is the only one who needs to know. I also help support several ministries overseas-with schools and orphanages. As for fellowship with people-my conviction from the first years of my salvation is that whenever I come across anyone who knows the Lord, and we sit and have conversation over a cup of coffee/tea, or go to an event together, a service, or a concert, sit and pray together, or God sends us on a mission to minister to someone and share the gospel with other's-this is fellowship. The Church is the body of Christ, wherever they may be at any given moment. It may be on a street corner, with a group of believer's, or in someone's living room. This, is my conviction. This answers the most common statements I get, and hopefully people will understand- and if you come here, will come with the desire to see material that helps you in your walk with Jesus. If your not saved, my prayer is they will help you to come to see Jesus for who He is-the Son of God, and God in the flesh, risen from the grave and coming again. Some consider the landing of the Puritan Pilgrims in 1620 on the Mayflower to New England, in Plymouth, Massachusetts as significant to the actual beginnings of the forming of America as a nation. Why? Because of The Mayflower Compact which was a foundational document for Plymouth Colony, establishing a system of self-governance for the settlers who arrived on the Mayflower in 1620. It was essentially a social contract where the settlers agreed to abide by the laws and rules established for the common good, even though they had landed outside their intended destination of Virginia. America-at 249 Years Today, on this 4th of July, marking 250 years of the birth of our nation. I've spent much time in prayer, and asked the Lord for His mind on this country. When I received His answer, it just brought me to a grief and groaning, that can't be put into words. I've been told to post the scriptures He gave me, and what was spoken to me by the Holy Spirit. Those who read it, can take it to God themselves, and come to their own conclusions. Dan 5:17 Then Daniel answered and said before the king, Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another; yet I will read the writing unto the king, and make known to him the interpretation. Dan 5:18 O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour: Dan 5:19 And for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages, trembled and feared before him: whom he would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive; and whom he would he set up; and whom he would he put down. Dan 5:20 But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him: Dan 5:21 And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will. Dan 5:25 And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. Dan 5:26 This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it. Dan 5:27 TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting. Conclusion: In these verses God describes the level of pride, arrogance, blindness, and stubborn rebellion and sin Nebuchadnezzar and his son Belshazzar was in, and what it would cost him. I'll let the reader go to the book of Daniel and read further on this chapter and what happens. But, it is how God sees the condition of this nation now, and the leaders in it. Donald Trump, has proved he has a great problem with hubris, and glorification of himself. There's been plenty of proof of this in his conduct, and news media portraying him as a king-which he loves. He has brought this country to a very dangerous place. Below is an intercession of Daniel for his nation of Israel-it is applicable to America today. Dan 9:14 Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice. Dan 9:15 And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly. Dan 9:19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name. A Cry for America-Groaning and Confessing for a Nation Gone Astray Father, as Daniel grieved over Israel and the sins which he described, as going over his head-I can only echo Daniels' words, and agree that America has gone the same way, and followed the same path of darkness, ignorance, and sin. We've lost our way, and cast off the integrity, moral foundations, and determination that our fore-father's strived and suffered through-to bring this nation to birth, and establish it's laws and foundations. My heart grieves for those who fought and stood for all that was good and right in this country. There's always been warfare between good and evil-but, those who have the courage to stand up to tyranny and corruption are being trampled and silenced. But, the worst of all-is we've cast off our faith in the only True God, the Lord Jesus Christ. We've allowed every form of idolatry and sin to overcome us. We no longer can even define good and evil-evil is now called good, and good evil. We grope in a darkness of our own making, because of the blindness of our sins. I pray for the remnant who have not bowed the knee to the modern gods of this world, but who stand firm, regardless of the cost. Strengthen us Lord to endure, whatever may come. Draw us to Yourself, and give us the conviction of heart and spirit-to not let any of this worlds' evils or persecutions to cause us to deny You Lord Jesus, keep us from the evil. Whatever comes to this nation- may those who believe in you, remain firm, and not waiver. Such a nation is blessed or happy, because: (a) He is a real God, the true God, and not an imagination or fiction; (b) because His laws are just and good, and their observance will always tend to promote the public welfare and prosperity; (c) because His protection will be vouchsafed to such a nation; and (d) because His worship, and the influence of His religion, will tend to diffuse virtue, intelligence, purity, and truth, over a land, and thus will promote its welfare. And the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance - Chosen to be “His;” or, His portion. The primary reference here is undoubtedly to the Hebrew people, called his “inheritance:” Deu_4:20; Deu_9:26; Deu_32:9; Psa_74:2; Psa_78:62, Psa_78:71; or “heritage,” Psa_94:5; Jer_12:7, Jer_12:9; but what is here affirmed of that people is true also of all other people who worship the true God.
